Map a leader and followers

Create a copy group in Edgeable: choose the leader you trade, add follower accounts, set ratios, run a test copy and arm.

6 minSetupAll platforms

A copy group is one leader and the followers that mirror it. You trade the leader as normal, in whatever platform you like, and Edgeable sends a matching order to each follower over that follower's own connection.

Choose your leader

The leader is the account you actually click orders on. A few things make a good leader:

  • It's the account you watch. Charts, DOM and order entry all point at it.
  • Its size is the base unit. Followers are sized relative to it with a ratio, so a leader that trades 1 contract makes the maths easy.
  • It can be monitor-only. If you connected it as monitor-only, Edgeable reads its fills but can never place an order on it.

Create the group

  1. Open Copy Groups in the Cockpit and choose New group. Give it a name you'll recognise, such as "NQ evals".
  2. Under Leader: copy from, pick the leader account.
  3. Under Followers: copy to, add each follower. Followers can be on any connected broker.
  4. For each follower, set the ratio. ×1 copies the leader's quantity; ×2 doubles it. Add a max-contracts cap if the follower has a smaller limit than the ratio would allow.
  5. Leave Reverse off unless you deliberately want that follower to take the opposite side.

Test before you arm

Choose Test copy. It's a dry run: Edgeable checks that every follower route resolves (connection live, symbol mapped, guardrails loaded) and logs the result in Activity. It doesn't send any order.

Arm, and disarm

Turn on the group's Copying switch to arm it. From then on, leader fills are copied to every enabled follower. Turn it off to stop copying; open positions are left as they are, so flatten first if you want to be flat.

How to group accounts

  • Separate evaluations and funded accounts if their size limits or daily loss rules differ. Each group has its own guardrails.
  • One leader per group. If you trade two strategies from two leaders, make two groups.
  • An account follows one group. Don't add the same follower to two armed groups, or it will receive both sets of orders.

Next: ratios and contract sizing.
