Copying trades across brokers: Tradovate, Rithmic and TopstepX in one group

Sign up with a few prop firms and you'll quickly have accounts on different platforms: one firm on Tradovate, another on Rithmic, a third on TopstepX. Copying across them used to mean running several tools. It doesn't have to.

Why it's harder than copying within one broker

• Different connections. Each broker has its own login, API and session rules.
• Different symbols. Brokers name the same futures contract differently, and you may want micros on one account and minis on another.
• Different fills. Each broker fills its own orders, so prices can differ slightly.

How Edgeable handles it

Edgeable keeps a separate connection to each broker. When your leader fills, each follower's order goes out over its own connection, in parallel. Symbols are mapped through a canonical root, so NQ on the leader becomes the right contract on each follower, and you can map NQ to MNQ with a contract multiplier where you want smaller size.

What to plan for

1. Check the symbol map before you arm, and again around contract rollover.
2. Expect small price differences between brokers, especially on market orders.
3. Watch each connection. Sessions expire independently. A stale connection on one broker shouldn't surprise you mid-trade.
4. Check each firm's rules. Some firms restrict copying between their accounts and accounts elsewhere. Read every firm's current terms.
