A trade copier has to reach real broker accounts, so the credential question is not academic. The honest way to talk about it is to be specific: what access the software needs to operate, where that access lives, and what it is never used for.
Access belongs to the connection that created it
Broker access is scoped to the user and the connection it was created for. Edgeable does not share credentials or tokens between users or between accounts. A follower connection cannot reach into another user's session, and one account's access is not reused to reach another.
Credentials are encrypted in transport and at rest. The point of the boundary is that a compromise or mistake stays contained to a single connection rather than spreading across a group.
Sessions are visible and revocable
Every active login appears in the Devices page. If you see a session you do not recognise, you can revoke the others and protect the account without waiting on support. Visibility is the control here — you can see where you are logged in and end anything that should not be there.
What we will never ask for
Edgeable will never ask you to post a broker password into a chat, an email or a form outside the connection flow, and no genuine support request will either. Treat any message asking you to send a password or a full account number as suspect.
Security reduces one class of risk; it does not remove broker, market or network risk. Keep direct broker access available and monitor open positions independently rather than assuming the copier is the only thing watching.
